Content Factory privacy policy
Updated 30 September 2026. This policy covers Content Factory Analytics, the private video-production and analytics app operated by Sören Striewski. The app uses YouTube API Services. The Google Privacy Policy explains Google's own handling of data.
Who is responsible
Sören Striewski operates the app. Contact socialfactorys@proton.me with privacy questions or deletion requests. Postal contact details are published in the operator's imprint.
Data the app accesses
- Information identifying the connected YouTube channel, such as its channel ID, name and handle.
- Channel and video information returned by YouTube, including video IDs, titles, descriptions, publication times and publication status.
- Performance data returned by the YouTube Data and Analytics APIs, such as views, likes, comments counts, watch time and available aggregate audience or retention measurements.
- Videos, titles, descriptions and publication settings selected by the owner for upload, together with upload results.
- Google-issued access and refresh tokens, granted permissions and connection status. Google passwords are not collected or stored.
How the data is used
Channel identity binds the connection to the intended channel. Video data and measurements support publication checks, performance reports and comparisons of the owner's content. Upload permission sends the videos and publication settings the owner has approved to YouTube.
Google API data is not sold, used for advertising profiles or used to train general-purpose AI models. Analytics exports are created locally; the app does not automatically send those exports to an AI provider.
Content Factory Analytics follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, when using or transferring Google API data.
Storage and sharing
The app stores its connection and analytics records on the owner's computer. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Stored measurements, publication records and locally generated exports remain accessible to the owner and anyone the owner permits to access that computer or its backups.
Google receives authorization requests, API requests and the videos and metadata sent to YouTube. This public website does not receive OAuth tokens or private channel measurements. Its hosting and website data practices are described in the Software Made Clear website privacy policy.
The owner may separately publish an approved video to other social platforms. That sends the chosen video and its platform text to those services; it does not grant them the app's Google credentials.
Retention, revocation and deletion
The app saves measurements and publication history for the owner's ongoing analysis. Disconnecting a channel revokes its authorization and removes its tokens from the active local token store. It does not automatically erase previously saved measurements, exports, backups or videos already uploaded to YouTube.
You can also revoke access at any time through Google account permissions. To request deletion of stored channel data, measurements or exports, email socialfactorys@proton.me and identify the channel. The operator handles these requests and the associated local copies and backups. Do not send a password or access token.
Uploaded videos can be managed or deleted in YouTube Studio. Deleting local app records does not delete a video on YouTube.
Device storage and your rights
The local dashboard uses browser storage for interface preferences and a temporary session cookie during Google sign-in. Those mechanisms support the interface and the sign-in flow. The app does not serve advertising.
You may contact the operator to request access to or correction of personal data, deletion, or restriction of processing, and to withdraw your authorization. You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority. Access to your connected Google account remains under your control.
